"most of our bad habits are due to laziness or lack of willpower"

"In the literature, claims of this sort are associated with a “will to power doctrine”, commonly viewed as one of Nietzsche’s central ideas (see section 6.1). That doctrine seems to include the proposal that creatures like us (or more broadly: all life, or even all things period) aim at the enhancement of their power—and then further, that this fact entails that enhanced power is good for us (or for everything)."

I like that example sentence from the dictionary. "Bad habits are due to laziness or lack of willpower." That's some strong stuff if you ask me. How much suffering in our lives is due to or caused by our own bad habits? Maybe laziness is also due to lack of willpower. Willpower feels like a combination of things: self-control, focus, drive; the power part speaks for itself. My thoughts are that we shouldn't be fearful creatures and we shouldn't fear power. It just depends on how we utilize it for our own greater good (or evil) and our ability to notice how it might be used against us. To be in control of the power within you is key because it is physical energy burning inside of you. If you don't give it the proper attention and care then it can become wild and untamed. We need to have power over our shadow, our dark side, otherwise it will have power over us.
Then the word WILL. How many of us say we "will" do something and then don't follow through? And when you do? The former tends to lose people's trust and respect while the latter tends to gain it. So if Nietzsche's proposal about humans aiming for enhancement of their own power which further enhances the power in all of us and in everything was correct, then when you gain people's trust, why would you want to break it? Ideally you will not. Will to Power is the fire inside of us that makes things happen. Think about the future for not only yourself but for all of us and I speak for myself too...
Someone out there has the Will to Power / Willpower to change, shape, or make the future for all of us. The truth is in the reality that we all share.
Maybe it is you. Either you will or you will not make the future happen. This is your calling to find your Will to Power.
